Colorado Springs Hockey

Hockey is a very popular sport in and around Colorado Springs. Along with Denver, the city hosted the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships in 1962, solidifying the sport’s importance to the community. The Colorado College Tigers are one of the best hockey teams in the area. The Tigers are a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I program. The team plays for the National Collegiate Hockey Conference each season.

The United States Air Force Academy also has a hockey team called the Falcons. The team competes in the Atlantic Hockey Association, the NCAA Men’s Divison I Ice Hockey conference.
